How would you use $1,000 to create a beneficial environmental impact for the Lamorinda community?
Overview

LEAF is a $1,000 award available to Lamorinda middle and high school students with sustainable and environmentally impactful ideas that would benefit the Lamorinda community
-
The award must be used to execute the idea, ideally over the course of one year or longer

To be eligible, you must be a Lamorinda middle or high school student (must have proof of residency)

Award recipients must follow up with Sustainable Lafayette within 6 months to demonstrate progress against the award

Students are given an opportunity to bring their ideas to life as the next generation of environmental stewards

Lamorinda community inherits new ideas to help make environmentally conscious choices

Enriches the relationship between Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda as we broaden the opportunity for deeper engagement within the overall community
Judging
-
The Sustainable Lafayette Board of Directors will vote on submissions the second Tuesday of each month

Candidates may be asked to present their ideas to the Board via a Zoom meeting
