We have a logo winner for Sustainable Lamorinda Facebook Group
Recently, to expand our social media presence, Sustainable Lafayette Board Member Eric Law created a Facebook Group. The Group very quickly became popular and he received requests to include our neighboring cities, Moraga and Orinda. We loved that idea! To get started, we decided to hold a logo contest.
We got several great submissions, and the voting was very close, but in the end we could only use one logo. And the winning logo is what you see at the top of this post and is now the banner image for the Sustainable Lamorinda Facebook Group!
Congrats to Catherine Valenti Kauder, local freelance designer
The logo was designed by freelance writer and web designer, Catherine Valenti Kauder. Cathy's previous work includes designing sites for other local non-profits such as SEED Lafayette, LPIE and she's currently working with Orinda’s Art in Public Places commission to revamp their website, which should be out in 2021. She's also currently working on her own website, which, by the looks of things, she will need to showcase her ever growing portfolio of work!
Cathy was inspired by the idea of the three towns working together in harmony to promote sustainable practices. This idea is symbolized by the three leaves interlocking together.
Sustainable Lafayette sincerely thanks Cathy for her contributions and wishes her the best in her burgeoning design career.
