Sustainable Lamorinda Facebook Group Banner Contest

Over the past few months Sustainable Lafayette has been diligently working behind-the-scenes planning and preparing for 2021. We are currently focused on growing our social media presence, particularly on Facebook. Thanks to Board Director Eric Law (who heads up the Safe Routes to Acalanes project), we now have a Facebook Group. This group started out as Sustainable Lafayette, but due to surrounding community interest, we are expanding to include the Moraga and Orinda communities. The Facebook Group will soon become Sustainable Lamorinda -- but we need your help to do it!

This presents two new opportunities for the Lamorinda community to get involved. First, we need a new logo and banner. We are officially putting out a request to all Lamorinda designers (you don't have to be a pro -- anyone with design skills is welcome to participate). Second, we are looking for moderators to help grow the Group.

Sustainable Lamorinda Facebook Group Banner Contest

This contest is open to all residents of Lamorinda who have an interest in design or do it professionally. The basic idea is to design a banner for the Sustainable Lamorinda Facebook Group; powered by Sustainable Lafayette.

Rules:

  1. Your original design should be inclusive of the Lamorinda communities with a focus on sustainability

  2. The design should meet Facebook Group banner dimensions

  3. You can submit up to three banners for consideration to info@sustainablelafayette.org

  4. Deadline: December 21, 2020

  5. All submissions will be reviewed by Sustainable Lafayette

  6. Winner will be announced December 28, 2020

Prizes:

The winner will be recognized with credit in the About section of the Group. Plus, Sustainable Lafayette will publish a blog post on this site about your design talent (or firm) and will be shared in the Sustainable Lamorinda Group as well as the Sustainable Lafayette Facebook Page.

Join the Sustainable Lamorinda Group as a Moderator

As the Group grows, we'll need moderators from both Moraga and Orinda. You will collaborate on developing the rules of the Group as well as enforce them. As a Moderator, you'll also invite new people to participate in the Group as well as submit posts yourself. If this sounds like your cup of tea (or glass of wine for that matter), get in touch with us at info@sustainablelafayette.org.

We eagerly await banner contributions and new moderators and all of us are super excited for 2021!
