A zero waste advocate and "hardcore reuse mom" as coined by a friend, Nancy spends much of her spare time examining garbage and finding ways to reduce her waste at home and in the communities around her. She currently serves as Vice Chair for Lafayette's Environmental Task Force and as volunteer administrator for the Buy Nothing Lafayette, CA group, which encourages building community while sharing resources. In 2018, she also attended Al Gore's Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training, and volunteers to publicly speak about the climate crisis. You might catch her singing or reading at the Mandarin Storytime on Saturdays at the Lafayette Library. Nancy works full-time for the federal government as a general dentist reconstructing smiles for disabled veterans, and has two adorable sons and a husband who remind her to enjoy the simple things in life :).
