We hope you can come to opening day of this year’s Lafayette Farmers’ Market on Sunday, May 19th!  It will run Sunday mornings, 9am – 1pm, at the south BART parking lot through the Fall.  Like last year, the market will feature many amazing organic/specialty farmers and vendors and free parking.

Something for Everyone!

Urban Village Farmers’ Market Association (UVFM) in collaboration withSustainableLafayette invite you to bring the whole family to enjoy farm fresh produce, artisanal foods, delicious fruits, live music, fresh espresso, and the company of great neighbors.

The opening day will feature a special guest: author Jennie Schacht who is a culinary writer and author of i scream SANDWICH!  In her new book Jennie shares 40 unique and delectable sandwich recipes.  Stop by and be inspired!

The Lafayette Community Garden will sell gallon-sized veggie starts on opening day. Come get healthy, organic plants to place in your own garden!

The market aims to be a fun weekly event for the community to gather, sample the latest harvest; greet neighbors; develop a direct relationship with growers; learn about unique food varieties and cooking tips; and show kids where food comes from.

Easy Access & Tons of Free Parking

Just like last year there will be ample parking on Happy Valley Road, in the South BART lot (next to the market), and in the large parking lot behind the Town Center.   Bikers and walkers can access the market from Happy Valley Road or from downtown by taking the walking path to BART behind Baja Fresh.

Run, bike or walk with your neighbors to downtown the first Sunday of every month
