Sustainable Lafayette is working with the Lafayette Library & Learning Center to provide resources in the library, like environmental movies and books, and to organize educational programs related to sustainability like lectures and workshops.


The Lafayette School District

The Lafayette School District and Sustainable Lafayette have formed a “District Green Team” that is meeting monthly to find and analyze opportunities to save money through energy-efficiency, water conservation, and waste diversion.  And to make our campuses more safe and healthy for kids by reducing the use of toxic cleaners and landscaping products.

Sustainable Contra Costa (SCOCO) is a non-profit organization working to create more sustainable communities in our county and hosts the SCOCO Network where sustainability leaders and enthusiasts from across the county can exchange ideas.   Sustainable Lafayette is part of the SCOCO Sustainable Communities Collaborative and trying to help bring tools and best practices to other communities in Central Contra Costa County.

Sustainable Lafayette and Sustainable Danville are working together to share ideas and best practices between two similar towns.
